During her pregnancy, Lee got two pieces of news that rocked her world.

The first was a beautiful shock, she was expecting twins.  The second, doctors suspected she had ovarian cancer.

To give her babies the best chance, Lee had to wait until they were born for her cancer to be investigated and eventually treated. When her babies were just seven weeks old, she underwent surgery to remove the cancer.

Recovering from the birth of her twins and a complete hysterectomy, Lee found it hard to ask for help to ease the financial burden brought about by her husband needing to work part time to help care for their four children. 

Lee is not alone. Christmas is our busiest time – As you read this, our phone will be ringing. A family will be in need of help. Just like Lee, they’ll be going through a tough time, and they just want their baby (or babies) to be safe, clean and fed.

We urgently need to raise $30,000 to help make sure 250 babies have everything they need for a safe start in life.
